Rev. Jeremy Gilmore

            Hello, my name is Jeremy Gilmore.  I am a young creature desiring to know more about the life, ministry, and love of Christ and minister that love to God’s people.  I have been at Second Baptist Church since the spring of 2003 and have grown under the leadership of Pastor Bruce Rose as well as other wise and influential men of God.  God is truly the Lord of my life and the relationship that He has built with me has confirmed this in my heart.  I thank Him for my family and friends and countless others who have given of themselves to direct my life.  I also thank God for my home church of First Baptist in East Chicago, Indiana for their role in my Christian growth.

I am a senior at Indiana University majoring in African American and African Diaspora Studies/ Religious Studies where I plan to graduate in May of 2005.   I have a beautiful fiancée, Ashley Andrews, who is currently in her final year at Purdue University and is a loving partner and co-labourer of this ministry God has designed specifically for us. We have many wonderful plans, desires, and prayers for the future as we continue forward in life, and we know that these desires will be fulfilled, surpassed, and multiplied as long as we delight in Him (Psalm 37:4).

            The Lord called me and I answered, that’s really the simple truth.  I give Him all the glory because He has directed my life from danger and kept me safe in his bosom.  I pray that this short bio gives you, the reader, less of a glimpse of me and more of a glimpse of the power of God.  The fact that He chose to use me is truly humbling.  It reinforces in my Spirit the fact that God uses anyone and everyone as long as we obey Him.  I love him and am thankful that He has, He can, and He WILL do all things.  The amazing thing is that now, through Christ, so can we --- I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Phillipians 4:13).  God Bless YOU.  tYj
